How to keep clothes looking new.

Do you want to learn how to keep clothes looking new? All you need to learn are simple washing machine, and laundry detergent tips.

Don't you love that feeling of wearing brand new fabric? The minute you purchase the merchandise from the store, and start wearing it. You feel that the look is absolutely perfect. You prolong the washing machine and harsh laundry detergent, because you do not want this look, and feel to go away. Not to mention that clothing is becoming more expensive, and for the expensive prices you pay; proper care is a necessity.

Inevitability, the time will come that you must clean them. We are humans and we have to keep what we wear nice and clean. With improper measures they will indeed, easily become faded and uncomfortable. But surely there is something you could do about it?

You can! Just follow these washing machine, and laundry detergent steps.

  • First you need to focus on the washing machine. The washing machine can easily cause tears. Always keep this in mind.
  • Never pack full of clothes. This can cause permanent wrinkles, and uneven cleanliness. Even though new high efficiency ones are allowed to be jam packed, save the jamming for the towels! The towels can afford to be wrinkled.
  • Use great care when choosing the laundry detergent you want to use. Choosing the right brand of laundry detergent will make all of the difference for how your fabrics last. The color, strength, and feel all depends on the kind you select. You want to aim for a laundry detergent with gentle cleaning. Never get a laundry detergent that has bleach additives, unless necessary.
  • While using the laundry detergent, always make sure you don't overuse it. It isn't like regular soap. You know, the more soap you use, the better it cleans... Laundry detergent is some highly concentrated liquid, that will do just fine with a little bit poured. In fact, high efficiency washing machines require a tiny amount of laundry detergent.
  • Use cold water instead of warm or hot. Both warm and hot temperatures will cause the water to bleed the colors when mixed with laundry detergent. If you are a man you could end up with pink undies! All of this will surely cause fast fading. Ultimately turning your great feeling, and decently visually appealing cloth into old rags. Cold water is gentle when combined with laundry detergent. Hot water can also cause shrinking.
  • Choose a gentle spin cycle on the washing machine to ensure that nothing will tear from spinning rapidly. Delicate mode will do just fine. Never set to heavy! An improper selection will cause premature aging. When in doubt just use the least harshest.
  • This step is something a lot of people don't do because it is so time consuming. But the best thing you could ever do is always stick to a dry time of only fifteen minutes or less. This will get all of the wrinkles out and ensure proper drying.
  • While it is still a little damp, all you have to do is pull them out of the washing machine and hang them. You want to choose a spot that has good air circulation. Otherwise you risk getting a stink. Also if you choose to go with outside, just know that they may feel stiff when finished, and also can become sun bleached! More easily with cheaper brands of laundry detergent. It isn't completely necessary to dry outdoors. Speaking of smells, you can use fabric sheets to compliment the laundry detergent. This can make a huge difference in scents. Make sure to use plastic hangers, and not metal ones to prevent shoulder indents. If you already have indents, there is no need to panic! Just apply some water and flatten them out.
